this is derby ~ {Waterloo, Ontario pet photographer}

thought you’d like to meet this big boy …

this is Derby, and he loves to run … he loves treats …

and he’ll speak his mind if you steal his stick …

what you can’t tell about this good looking boy from these photos is just how bad he smelled during our shoot.  yup, four minutes into our session, Derby found himself a ripe raccoon to perfume himself with … and like any young, handsome teenager, he clearly hasn’t yet learned the wisdom of a-little-goes-a-long-way when it comes to cologne, because this boy really lay it on thick.

and he seemed pretty proud of himself for it, too.

and no matter how much he ran …

he couldn’t outrun the stink.

fortunately, i’d already shot our indoor segment first …

i know this boy wasn’t lounging on the couch again until he got a bath.

thanks for a memorable shoot, Derby.  i know you had a lot of fun.

  • Holly Garner-JacksonBeautiful shots of the stinkster! He looks so proud in that second shot. You are just missing the lab in the water shots!! Of course he might have been stinkier after that. I know it brings faded skunk smells back to the surface!ReplyCancel
