oxford, a.k.a. jumping jack flash ~ Burlington, Ontario dog photographer

meet Oxford …

he’s a yorkie-poo. but don’t let his delicate appearance and small frame fool you.  he’s a tough guy.

and this tough guy’s passions — like any good little dog worth their weight in milk bones — is squirrels, for which he is always on the lookout …

…and balls.

yup, he’s crazy for balls.

and he is greatly loved by his people, Greg and Sarah …

we had a great afternoon with Oxford, out in the fields where this little guy could let loose …

and of course, we’re always on the look out for interesting backdrops … like the woods …

or this huge, rusted old drum in an adjacent field that Greg pointed out …

… and the soy bean fields, of course …

i couldn’t resist asking Oxford to try out a fence-post pose, remembering how well previous client Miles did with his fence-perching …

no worries … we do this with the utmost safety.  Greg was just out of the camera’s frame, hands at the ready at all times.

how cute is this boy?

Oxford was definitely keen on the treats i brought …

as well the Cuz ball i offered up moments within coming through the door and realizing he was a little shy of the camera.

but it didn’t take long for him to warm up.  i mean, come on … i’d brought him a ball … and it was a Cuz.  what’s not to be happy about?

how much do you wanna bet Oxford was doing some of this when i finally left?

thanks for being such a cool little dude, Oxford.  and thanks, Greg and Sarah, for sharing your little boy with me.   i hope you enjoy your gallery.  see you soon at your studio consult.
