harley & nahla, all the way from sunny CA ~ {Canadian pet photographer}

meet pretty little Nahla …

… and dashing brother Harley.

these two little nibblets hail from sunny California and traveled a long long way for their scruffy shoot!

these two little divas did well with the scruffy dog chair to help keep them in one place as all they wanted to do was sniff the great Canadian outdoors.

and while Harley caught up on a little beauty rest …

Nahla was still eager to explore …

all rested up, we had some fun racing through the grass …

but not Nahla.  Nahla is a little huntress…

we had fun down at the beach …

and i think this was the first time these two dollfaces had ever gone into water.

Harley wasn’t quite sure he’d made a wise decision having ventured in so far after his mom … so much for the grooming/spa treatment that morning!

Nahla seemed a lot braver on the beach …

anything to be with mommy …

but Harley had to be convinced to get wet …

go on, Harley, take a dip …

ugh!

from the beach, we headed out a wheat field to catch the last rays of day …

Harley had already faded from his long afternoon of modeling, and even Nahla was pretty pooped …

thanks, Cindy, for introducing me to your two little darlings.   i’m looking forward to working on their big Best in Show album and seeing their glorious mantelpiece canvas!

  • AnnaGreat shots of these two, and I’m sure no easy feat. I can’t imagine what you look like after a shoot. Who says photography is easy, and I thought training these little dogs was hard. Great work

camilla and sarah sneak peek ~ {Waterloo, Ontario pet photographer}

if you follow scruffy dog on facebook, you will have already seen some sneak peek photos of these two darlings … but in case you don’t, i thought i should share just a very small sampling of a couple of lovelies i had the immense pleasure of working with the other weekend.

meet Camilla …

… and Sarah.

these two girls were a blast to work with.

and we got such huge variety with these two stellar little models …

since these two darlings were a squeeze-in session, you’ll be seeing more of them in a future blog entry later in the season as we catch up with regular sessions in our extremely busy fall season … but i simply couldn’t resist a sneak peek for you all.

we have a PoochPalooza winner! ~ {Ontario pet photographer}

as he did all weekend at PoochPalooza — drawing winners of the daily door prizes (valued at over $750 each!  see what you missed!?) as well as the 50/50 draws — i decided to let Merrick Goobernuts McScruffy make the final draw of our fabulous PoochPalooza weekend … this one is for a scruffy dog Starter session, valued at $150!

i gotta admit, the goober is getting pretty good at this ballot-drawing thing …

the winning ballot is backwards, with names of the additional household pets on the back — Gracie and Tyson — so he had to turn it around for me … and the winner is …

George, the french bulldog, owned by Suzanne McQueen!  hope to hear from you and George soon, Suzanne!

and thank you, everyone, for stopping by and visiting us at the scruffy dog corner of the big tent this past weekend.  it was awesome meeting all of you and your 4-leggers!  hope to see you next year!
