Gus is totally rad, and he knows it.

  • RachelPosts like this make me cry. I know people lose their pets and loved ones every day, but seeing these beautiful photographs and knowing the pet is no longer with its parent just tears me up. What a wonderful gift you have to capture the animal’s spirit in these photographs; Buster’s parents will have real mementos to remember him by. <3ReplyCancel

  • JeanSo terribly sad.ReplyCancel

  • michelle bradshaw14 years of love, an amazing gift…..goodbye Buster.ReplyCancel

  • Margaret14: what a milestone! But it’s never enough, no matter the number. I love these (and just looked again at the full Honour Session again) pics of a beautiful, and indeed honourable, old dog. I love me an ol’ dog! Young ‘uns too, because I just plain love dogs, but there’s something magical as they age.ReplyCancel

little boy ryder ~ {Toronto, Ontario pet photographer}

the other weekend i had a blast with young Ryder during his first scruffy session …

a breed i’ve always admired from afar, this little boy didn’t disappoint.  Ryder was so much fun to work with.

Ryder is not mom Katharine’s first wire fox terrier, so she knows what she’s doing with this crazy boy, and the bond between them, even at his young age, is already extremely obvious.

and in spite of his youth, Ryder’s training is well underway, which always makes certain aspects of our shoot a lot easier.

and he had so much fun with recalls …

zoom zoom …

thanks for a fun shoot, Ryder.  i look forward to watching you grow up.

i hope you enjoy your gallery, Katharine.

  • DianeIllona, I have been following your blog for a little while now, and I am in awe of your images. I am currently starting up a photography business, with a view to photographing pets, and I would love to be able to capture images such as these. Are there any tips you can pass on? Is it the lens? The camera settings? Post production?ReplyCancel
