wild whacky GSPs ~ {Waterloo dog photographer}

remember this face?

you saw these rough-and-tumble boys a little earlier on the blog as a sneak peak.  and here they are – at last –  in a slightly fuller entry…

Drake is the wild, younger brother … and typical of GSPs is low on common sense and high on crazy …

older brother Spike — at thirteen — is a little wobbly and weary, but there’s no stopping him, no matter how many times his younger brother bowls him over.

i was able to fit Deb’s shoot in just before the last of the wheat fields came down …

although this particular wheat field was mighty tall.  of course, i’m sure i’ll be standing corrected when someone informs me that this isn’t wheat.  anyone?

this boy certainly has some unique expressions … even though he rarely sat still longer than two seconds for me to capture them.

this boy almost never stopped moving …

… or hunting.

old man Spike was a little more easily manipulated into a stay …

… but not by much.

thanks, Deb and boys.  hope you enjoy your finished gallery.  see you soon at your follow-up shoot on the beach!

big white dogs ~ {Cambridge dog photographer}

after the cuteness overload of the puppies, i promised you the adults, so here they are now.

first up, old man Theo …

then big man Chance …

hey, can you do this?

and then sweet  mom Oriana …

understandably, one of her favorite spots has turned out to be the puppies’ favorite as well.  you’ll remember a good number of the images from the puppies’ shoot were taken in this same porch corner.

she’s been a good mom, but i think nine pups have taken the wind out of her. i’m sure she’ll be glad when she’s down to one.

hope you enjoy the images, Sue.  see you at your consult!  and thanks, Theo, Chance and Oriana for being so lovely.

… when we have to ~ {Waterloo pet photographer}

a couple of blog entries ago you met Tigger … big, ol’, easy-going, don’t-wake-me-from-my-nap Tigger.  he and the rest of his pride make shooting cats seem easier than shooting fish in a rain barrel … so easy, in fact, i’d be willing to change the business name to scraggly cat photography and start buying fish treats instead of lamb and liver.  alas, there are those cat clients who are the essence of why i’m often heard saying — albeit quite fondly —  “… and cats, when we have to” in reference to what we shoot at scruffy dog photography.

meet Ziggy …

ziggy-29

Ziggy was not at all pleased about our shoot.  in fact, i think he would have rather eaten dog poo than face the cameras.  but for those who know me, you know i never give up on any animal …

ziggy-6

so even though Ziggs wasn’t in the mood and was mostly focused on getting back into the house, i stuck with it … giving him loads of space and using my zoom lens so he could settle.

ziggy-8

ziggy-10

which he gradually did …

ziggy-3

… but not before giving me a few funny faces.  this shot below is my favorite of the shoot.

ziggy-13-edit-edit

thanks, Ziggy for being as brave as you could, and for showing me those lovely green eyes of yours in spite of your fear.  i hope you enjoy your gallery, Nikki.
