At scruffy dog we offer three unique sessions to answer our clients’ individual needs. With years of experience working with clients and shooting exclusively pets (90% of those dogs), here at SDP, we have developed our sessions to deliver to our clients what they want most, setting up each session and each dog for success. Because each session is designed with output in mind, we always ask clients to choose their session based on the ultimate prints and products they are after.
The Starter Session provides a modest but strong gallery of unique images for the client who is after a truly spectacular wall piece and a handful of fine art prints.
The Standard Session results in a much broader gallery with big variety in locations, activities, and aspects of your 4-leggers life with you. The Standard is intended for the client who is after one of the scruffy dog packages loaded with value and product, including one of our premium Signature albums.
Meanwhile, the Seasons Session is our “everything” session. We follow your 4-legger across the seasons (or ages), resulting in a truly stellar portfolio of variety, capturing every aspect of your pet, intended for a one-of-a-kind album. This session is traditionally used by the scruffy dog client who simply has to have it all or for the proud parent of a puppy keen on capturing the different stages/seasons of their life.
The Honor Session™ is intended for seniors and cases of failing health. Because of my own loss — my first scruffy at too young of an age with almost no photos of him — scruffy dog has always given and will continue to give these cases priority, fitting them into the schedule, no matter what. In the case of a an Honor Session™, clients choose either a Starter or a Standard session based on the ultimate prints/products they are after. What the “Honor” designation means is that not only will your session be fit in, we will also take whatever time is needed to capture the images that honor your dog’s life and his/her bond with you.

The Standard Session … the most popular session and the essence of SDP, the Standard captures a stunning range of unique and captivating visual memories of your 4-legger.
450* includes:
- up to 3 hours of photographer’s time and talent
- one pet (add $25 for each additional pet)
- two locations
* includes travel to GTA, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton (up to 100kms)
* $75 courtesy print credit for local shoots (K-W, Cambridge Guelph)
- toys and nutritional treats
- over 75+ proofs in your private on-line gallery
- 1/2 to 1 hour in-studio order consultation
The Standard “Booster”… the recommended add-on for two or more dogs
100 – doubles your final proofs and guarantees a full selection range of proofs for each pet versus a free-for-all.

The Seasons Session … for the serious pet owner who wants it all, and whose 4-legger takes life by the balls, or simply has too many balls in their toy box. The Seasons Session offers huge variety in not just locations but also seasons, and is quickly becoming the most popular choice for clients who are after a Signature album with true bite. The Seasons has also been used for documenting the “seasons” of clients’ dogs’ lives: puppy, adolescence, and adulthood.
650* includes:
- three 1-hour sessions: Spring/Summer, Fall, and Winter OR puppy, adolescence, adulthood
- one pet (add $25 for each additional pet)
- multiple locations…you scout it or let us do the scouting!
* includes travel to GTA, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton (up to 100kms radius) for one session
* $75 courtesy print credit for fully local shoots (K-W, Cambridge Guelph)

To book your shoot: a retainer of $200 plus any applicable travel is required to reserve your date. The remainder of your shoot fee is due at the time of your shoot. Retainers are non-refundable.
