orville ~ sneak peek ~ {Waterloo, Ontario pet photographer}

if you follow the scruffy dog blog, you already met Orville during  his train tunnel shoot.  and if you follow scruffy dog‘s facebook page, you’ve already seen a few sneak peeks of this tall, dark and handsome boy … yes, the facebook page is where you see a lot of fun sneak peeks, so do check it out.  but for those of you without facebook, well, here’s a sneak peek of this most handsome and highly active rescue boy from his shoot last week …

definitely no denying there’s some pointer in him …

i love the dramatic shots we got of this ball-obsessed beast, so you’ll definitely be seeing more of Orville on the blog …

Oakland sneak peek ~ {Waterloo, Ontario pet photographer}

here’s a little elf i met in the woods last night …

well, okay, not really … it was a client session, but doesn’t he look like a wee elf tripping across some troll’s bridge?  this little scruffnut belongs to the family of Hilary Camilleri, the fabulous family photographer behind One for the Wall.  if you’re not already familiar with her incredible work and her mad skills with light, do check it out!

i’ll be sharing more of Oakland’s birthday shoot soon … but thought i’d better put up at least a couple of sneak peeks for Oakland’s girls.  and no, C, you don’t owe me $5.  :)

a couple of faces from the other week ~ {Ontario pet photographer}

as i mentioned the other day, things are pretty busy here at scruffy dog headquarters, and it’s hard to keep up with any blogging.  so here are a couple of great faces from shorter shoots the other week.

first up, Buddy …

and if this big boy looks happy, you bet he is!  he greets you with big smiles and wide tail wags …

it actually took a bit of work to get Buddy wound up; he would have been quite satisfied to just sit or lean on you and receive all the attention you’re willing to dole out.  but what dog doesn’t like a good stick?

thanks for introducing me to your wonderful boy, Grace.

next up is Cooper …

Cooper hails from Bright, and seemed to quite enjoy the change of scenery for his session.

this gorgeous boy had never been in a river before, so our shoot was as much about capturing great images of this handsome boy as it was to introduce him properly to water.  i’d say it was a success…

thanks for making the trip to Waterloo, Cooper.  it was great meeting you and being part of your introduction to bigger water.

this is Orville ~ {Waterloo, Ontario pet photographer}

this tall, dark, and handsome man is Orville …

dashing, isn’t he?

this boy was adopted from the Kitchener-Waterloo Humane Society.  as you can tell from the backdrop, this shoot was done in the graffiti tunnel right after Memphis’ dad, Don, painted it specially for Memphis’ custom shoot.  i didn’t want the painting to go to waste after Memphis’ shoot so we booked Orville for a quickie …

you’ll be seeing more of Orville later this year as he is scheduled for a proper big shoot in the fall …

… when he can run and fetch and be a goofball on some real doggy turf, not some grotty train tunnel.

still, Orville was a good sport about his little graffiti shoot … even though i know it was tough for this high-powered athlete to sit still for this kind of shooting …

thanks, Orville.  and i’m looking forward to seeing you really let loose in a more species-appropriate setting this fall!

rollo & oscar ~ sneak peek ~ {Waterloo, Ontario pet photographer}

some of you have already glimpsed these little dudes i met this past weekend on the scruffy dog facebook page (and if you haven’t joined the facebook page to keep up with the latest happenings, why not?)

this is Oscar …

… and he loves, i mean L-O-V-E-S his ball.

and then there’s Rollo … such a charmer …

you’ll be seeing more of our fun shoot in snow, but i thought i’d share a couple of the highlights as part of this sneak …

and you’ll be seeing more of these little monkeys in the summer as they are one of our Winter/Summer clients.  i’m sure Rollo will be much happier with the conditions for our summer shoot …

so, stay tuned for more of these little guys!
