well, if you haven’t stopped by the scruffy dog blog in a few days … first, why not?  and second, you’ve arrived at our fourth and final installment in what has become: Wiener Week.  if you’ve missed the earlier entries, you can find this doxy trio’s ‘group’ shots in their blog entry from this past weekend.  and here’s handsome Oscar’s blog entry … and don’t miss Charlie’s blog debut!

but this entry is for Oscar … how fashionable is this dude?

always cooling at least one engine …

we had fun in the forest and down by the river …

although i’m not sure Oscar — like  his short-legged brothers — was too fond of water …

“Dad, you gettin’ me outta here or what?”

“really?”

“fine, i’ll find my own way out.”

but where these guys had the most fun was when we hit the badlands …

lots of exploring …

… some posing …

lots of ear-flappin’ fun …

although consistently being at the back of the pack, the dust got to Rollo a bit.  “bless you!”

it wasn’t easy shooting these three, going off in all different directions, but i loved working with them …

as i mentioned in Oscar’s blog entry, if the terrain and backdrop looks familiar to some of you loyal blog followers, yes, these are the same locations where i shot the last two red, mini-dachshund clients last summer belonging to fabulous photographers Dave and Charlotte.  Meaghan and Ben loved that shoot so much and Fritz and Greta’s images, that they were determined to utilize the same locations.

so many dachshunds!  but there’s no mistaking Rollo and his distinct ear-stylin’ …

it’s time to get wienerfied ~ {Ontario pet photographer}

y’all ready for this?  like, seriously ready?  because i have three dachshunds to share with you, and we had such a fabulous shoot, i don’t even know where to begin.  and with so many images to choose from, well, i’ve decided to give you a blog entry for each of these irresistible boys, but thought i’d start with a quick entry of some group shots.

you may remember Oscar and Rollo from their Winter shoot earlier this year, and since then they’ve had baby brother Charlie join their short-legged little pack …

one session with a dog, three hours of shooting, i tend to get to know them pretty well.  but two sessions, and well, i’m seriously in love with these little guys (and i know where they live!).

Oscar — with the black eye-liner — is always up front and centre, busy, busy, busy, seeking the limelight.

Rollo (middle, below) is just so sweet, somewhat independent, and more subtle.

and Charlie (middle, below) … wee Charlie … what isn’t to love about this piebald little dude?  … just so eager to learn, so anxious to please.

as i said, you’ll be seeing a lot more of these three over the next few days as each boy gets his own blog entry … they’re simply too irresistible to limit to one!  stay tuned …

fritz and greta ~ {Toronto exclusive pet photographer}

this blog entry has been a while coming … i’ve been dying to share these two little darlings with you all for some time, but it was a big shoot and it’s been an extraordinarily busy summer here at scruffy dog.

you saw a sneak peek of Fritz and Greta earlier on the blog, but now i’m going to hit you with all of their glory.  of course, i think this is going down as the biggest blog entry to date.  these two are adorable and it was impossible for me to narrow down this selection any further … i mean, just look at these two!

Fritz and Greta belong to phenomenal, power-house photographer-couple Dave and Charlotte.  if you aren’t already familiar with their fabulous wedding photography or Charlotte’s unbelievably creative and out-of-this-world baby photography, you’ve gotta check it out.

these two are not only highly skilled, uber-creative, and vastly experienced in their fields, they are easily the coolest, rockin’est, sweetest couple you’ll ever meet.  without a doubt, our time spent along the Credit River and out on the Badlands was the highlight of my summer.

but, i know … you’re here for the dogs …

and they don’t come much cuter than little Greta … and i do mean little.  however, don’t let her diminutive stature fool you … her voice is mighty.

Greta was born with arthritis, so although she’s still young, her comfort is a constant management.

but this little girl’s love for life is undeniable.

especially under the guardianship of big brother Frit …

so many times while working on these images for Dave and Charlotte, i found myself saying “aw” out loud at images of sweet Greta …

and then almost choking on my coffee as i laughed at Frit.

these two weren’t necessarily easy subjects … always on the go, and really, really, r-e-a-l-l-y low to the ground, but they’re just so darn sweet with each other.

and of course, easy to get started on a chorus or two.   check out Greta … her bark is so fierce it lifts her right off the ground.

the Credit River was an awesome backdrop …

… even if Greta didn’t entirely agree.

and then it was off to the Badlands.  when we’d originally decided on the Badlands for a location for these two little red guys, i had to admit, i dreamed about it.

and Frit and G-girl couldn’t wait to check out the clay ridges.

weiners in the badlands ~ {Toronto exclusive pet photographer}

this is just a sneak peek … just had to share a few images from a shoot the other night that i’d been looking forward to for some time …

these two little dollfaces — Fritz above and sweet little Greta here on the bridge — belong to fabulously talented photographer couple Dave and Charlotte, human-photographers extraordinaire.  if you’re not already familiar with their breath-taking work you definitely need to check them out.  and after that, visit Charlotte’s Rainbow Eleven site to see her baby and newborn photography … although you’ll want to be sure the batteries in your cute-meter are fully charged before venturing on over there.
