this boy would definitely excel in a tracking class … in fact, he’d probably make a great search dog. sniffing is his favorite thing. well, and running …
other things that strike you instantly about Bentley is his amazing eyes …
that big fan of a tail he swishes around …
and the love he has for his mom and dad, Katy and Rob.
we had a great time virtually in Katy and Rob’s back yard … a series of lovely trails along the river, maintained by the neighboring homeowners.
and when i spotted this little field and saw the magical light, i knew we had to spend some time there.
oh, and you might recognize Bentley’s awesome collar. this is the collar i recommended in an earlier “things-we-love” blog entry.
Bentley wears the collar well and it’s perfect for this mucky-river loving boy.

then off to catch the last few rays …
and before heading back to the house we backtracked a little to a wheat field that i’d spotted on my drive to the shoot. it had to be the absolutely last wheat field standing in all of ontario, and it seemed Bentley was almost as happy as i was to have found it. i think Bentley calls this stuff wheeeee-at!!
